“Can I live?” Chris Brown is asking somewhere right now, probably. The singer, who has been at the center of non-stop controversy and legal woes since he physically assaulted Rihanna back in 2009, isn’t getting any relief this week.
After attending New York Fashion Week with his girlfriend Karrueche Tran, dressed in matching fur coats, Brown is now being targeted by PETA. The couple, who wore the attire to Michael Costello’s show—a designer put on the map by Beyonce’s 2014 white GRAMMYs gown—posted a picture from the front row on Instagram, leading PETA to call them out in a statement.

“There are few things more out of touch than draping yourself in the skins of animals who were beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for their fur,” the anti-animal cruelty organization told Gossip Cop in a statement. “Pink’s New York Fashion Week PETA billboard shows that true beauty comes from kindness—Chris Brown’s furs are just more of the same from him: ugly violence.”
